Originally founded as a monastic community in 2015 by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Hilarion (Kapral), St. Nicholas Brotherhood is located in Jackson, NJ, in proximity to St. Vladimir Memorial Church. Now the brotherhood is open to laypeople and all Orthodox Christians interested in the realization of the brotherhood's projects including the construction St. John Orthodox mission church. Project Development is led by Reader Pavel Borisov. The work of the brotherhood is focused on three core areas: Theological Research in collaboration with traditional theological Orthodox institutes and various monasteries of Holy Mount Athos; Missionary Work in the establishment and construction of St. John Orthodox Church in the Eastern United States; and the Study of Orthodox Heritage in the United States, together with Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville, NY.
